Since 2009, BioFly has developed and deployed its unique aerial release system. This system was developed with the following goals in mind:
- Controlled, differential dispersal rate over time and space – allowing the release of an optimal amount of sterile males for each area, as determined by the results of the monitoring and the analysis done by our field service experts.
- Reduced price in comparison to ground release, and other aerial release systems. The system was developed as a stand-alone modular system, independent of the airplane size or type used.
- Improved quality of the sterile males upon arrival at the target area, enabled by strictly controlled emergence, knock-down, and logistical procedures.
Our system has been in full commercial mode since 2011, and has been deployed successfully in all of our Israeli SIT projects.
